Jim Skal (in his own words): Basically grew up playing outside. Moved to New Hampshire in 1985 where I made a decision to follow Jesus and ran up and down mountains for the time I was there. Eventually moved back to Butler, met my wife at North Way Christian Community, raised four kids together as I built a successful mortgage career.
2010 was a year of the developing vision of Outdoor Immersion and serving veterans, people in recovery and at-risk youth in outdoor adventure, recreation and fitness. The work has grown to the point where I ended my mortgage career and started full time operations January 2018 as 501c3 non-profit organization.
