Courtney Crowe (in her own words): I grew up in a small town in the Conemaugh River Valley and attended college at the Art Institute in Pittsburgh. Since that time I have worked in graphic design, and upon moving to Saltsburg found myself getting involved in local initiatives, promoting the river town and outdoor amenities. The first time I kayaked was when I moved to Saltsburg. It’s a great town with river and trail access. I joined the Conemaugh Valley Conservancy Board, which monitors watersheds, builds trails, and has acted as a partner in creating a whitewater park outside of Johnstown, PA.
