Whether you have 2 legs or 4, take a tip from the Labs: leave room in your schedule to enjoy an unplanned movement session, a spontaneous moment of playtime, or an afternoon nap. If you’re always busy being busy, you might miss out on many positive moments.

Have you heard the news from the FitLabPGH Labs??? We’ve introduced Labrador Lessons from the FitLabPGH Podcast! Every Thursday, we’ll be bringing you wisdom from the FitLabPGH Labradors (with occasional input from the cats).

Our message for 2-3-22:

Leash Your Human!

The Labs love to get outside to walk/run/hike with their humans…and when they do, they make sure the head human is on leash. Why? First, because the labs are rule-followers and the places we hike have leash laws. Second, because the labs want to keep the human safe; without a leash, he might dart into traffic or slip off a hillside. And finally, because the labs aren’t jerks. They know not all park/trail users want to share their personal space, so, when passing others, the labs shorten the leash to keep the human close.

Whether you have 2 legs or 4, do your part to keep humans and dogs safe, and allow other trail/park users to enjoy their outdoor movement activities. So grab a leash; get outside; and move more!
